📍 Geologic Field Data

Outcrop mapped along Buffalo Bayou: Brown lines are lineations mapped from outcrop observations and LIDAR. White lines are possible outcrops.

🔗 Regional Faults

Regional faults (black lines) are mapped from subsurface seismic imagery. They are mostly not exposed at surface.

Geographic position should be interpreted as approximate given they are not exposed at surface.

For map of growth faults that have geomorphic surface expression as seen in LIDAR data, look at Shah, S.D. & Lanning-Rush, J. (2005). Principal Faults in the Houston, Texas, Metropolitan Area. U.S. Geological Survey and associated ArcGIS map of faults

💧 Wells

Blue circle markers with blue fill indicate wells, mostly near-surface wells drilled for water and geotechnical purposes.

Wells are titled with letters that map to cross sections in the associated GitHub repository and saved as PDFs.
